Not ALL songs will turn annoying. Some of those songs might even become classics. Some people like me still like old bands...

What gave you the idea that most bands turn into jerks when they become mainstream? What, have you met them? Not everything you read is true...

And it's useless when you've spent so much time obsessing and loving a band, and when they become well-known you just abruptly decide "Oh, i hate them now. I've never liked their music."
